Spitting feathers……..we will see

June 13, 2010

Well dear readers, as many in Ukraine will know, the ex-Prime Minister, no longer even an MP, Yulia Tymoshenko, seems to have positioned herself as the Ukrianiane runner to PACE when everyone begins to ignore her.

Thus far, each trip to PACE has given her precisely no results.

The highlighting in this is my own……..but I suspect, after the recent Court of Srbitration in Stockholm ruling against Ukraine in favour of RosUkr (and proving her a liar in the process), she will feel the entire world is turning against her………

Ukrainian News

Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe President Mevlut Chavushoglu will visit Ukraine on August 23. Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the statement, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn met with Chavushoglu within the European Conference of heads of the parliaments on Cyprus.

Volodymyr Lytvyn and Mevlut Chavushoglu agreed to hold their next meeting during of Mevlut Chavushoglu to Ukraine in Kharkiv on August 23.

Mevlut Chavushoglu said he welcomes the plan of reforms declared by President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine.

“You can count on me as the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and your personal friend who will give support to Ukraine for provision of its progress and development,” he said.

The sides also discussed Ukraine’s meeting its commitments before the Council of Europe.

Volodymyr Lytvyn noted that Ukraine will draw up a schedule of execution of the commitments. He voiced hope that the Council of Europe will stop monitoring of Ukraine.

The president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in his turn noted the progress of Ukraine’s observing the commitments and expressed confidence that the commitments will be fulfilled in full.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe President Mevlut Chavushoglu visited Ukraine late in February 2010 to attend the inauguration of President Viktor Yanukovych.

The opposition now need to stop running around crying “Wolf” and start forming something worthy of being called “opposition”.
