A night at the opera?……Not quite, a night at the museum!

«Night in the Museum» will be held in Odessa Eastern and Western Museum for the first time. In will be taking place in the network of the International Museum Day celebrated on May 18.

On May 18, Odessa Eastern and Western Museum will hold “Night in the Museum” for its visitors.
 
As it was announced by the Museum Director Vladimir Ostrovskiy, «Night in the Museum» will be held in Odessa Eastern and Western Museum for the first time. In will be taking place under the “Secundum artem” motto (“according to all the rules of art” (lat.)) in the network of the International Museum Day celebrated on May 18.
 
The visitors will come to the museum at 8 p.m. At 20:10 the doors of the museum will close and the “Spirit of the Museum” accompanied with live music by the Concert Hall orchestra will meet the guests to reveal all the museum’s secrets to them. After this, “Live Pictures” interactive program by the Theater College students will take place in the Italian Hall.
 
Later, the guests will divide in groups according to theirs interests: the first will visit a Chinese style tea ceremony, the second will see violet dreams accompanied by whispers of the mystical fountains, watch the video program dedicated to the secret and gripping stories about the pictures and their authors, the third will see the post avant-garde beyond world, listen to the tales of Sheherezade etc.
 
The program will last for 3 hours.
 
Such nights will be held in Odessa Arts Museum and Literature Museum.
 
Think I will tag along to this……it’s been a while since I did anthing remotely close to “high brow”……..other than The Times crossword that is.
