Chinese Consulate Odessa officially open
December 1, 2011Well, I have mentioned new consulates opening in Odessa several times over the past few years on this blog. Such mentions have included the PRC Consulate which has been operating here since 2009 although never officially opened as refurbishment continued around the Chinese staff as they worked. – How typically Chinese.
Anyway, on 29th November the PRC Consulate in Odessa was officially opened, a 2 year refurbishment now complete, by Chen Guoping, the Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister.
The good woman will be very pleased. No chance of falling masonry when applying for a PRC Visa. China is on her “must see” list of nations. Terracotta soldiers and all that!
