Specifically fo my Ukrainian readers, here is a table showing the percentage rejections from EU nation Embassies and Consuls of Ukrainian applicants.
Obviously, if it is a Shengen nation you really want to visit but it has a high rejection rate, apply to a different Shengen nation with a much lower rejection rate, fly via the nation who will accpet your Shengen Visa application more readily to the one you really wanted to go to……after all a Shengen Visa means you can freely visit any Shengen nation once you have the Visa and the only stipulation is you fly to and from Ukraine via the issuing nation.
If Spain will refuse you, apply via the Czech Republic, and then fly to Barcelona via Prague……..there is wiggle room in the system to employ to your advantage, so work the percentages when applying regardless of the destination you truly want!
