Expert: Everything on hold for the election
Yesterday at 12:13 | Interfax-Ukraine Head of the Situations Modeling Agency Vitaliy Bala has forecast that during the election period in Ukraine, most ongoing foreign policy and foreign economic initiatives could be put on hold, the press service of the agency reported on Nov. 10.
“It is possible to say that election confrontations among the political elite in Ukraine This particularly concerns those that are at the stage of being carried out. The foreign partners of Ukraine are not ready to share risks with the Ukrainian elite, especially, if it is not united. That’s why people shouldn’t have much hope for another attempt by the Presidential Secretariat to start an effective dialog with [Russian President Dmitry] Medvedev,” Bala said, commenting on the situation with the International Monetary Fund and attempts to kick start a new Yuschenko-Medvedev dialog.
