Ok dear readers, for some of you, today is American Independence Day…….when Will Smith defeated an alien invasion single handed……and saved the……..eh? What?

1776?…….Ah, Ok…….declaration of independence from Great…..(maybe once upon a time)…..Britain.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday today……well those of you who still have a job to have a holiday from that is……..Those which don’t……it could have been worse…..
Declaration of Independence
If you had not won your independence from Britain (please note the lack of the word Great)…….you would have had to rely on the free health service, guaranteed social security ensuring housing, food and education even up to university level for yourselves and your children……and the same boring laws as you pass from county to county throughout the entire country……how predictable.
Those still with employment of course, if expatriated like myself, if you had not won your independence, you would not have to pay taxes on your incomes to your nation of birth…..but only in and too the country where they were earned……the strangle hold of the unions would have been broken 20 – 30 years ago…..about the same time you would have had a woman running things……..and obviously, nobody would be writing IOU’s to businesses supplying a State or County.
You have to wonder who should be celebrating 4th July more…..Americans or the British……
Seriously though……before you all inundate my blog with nasty comments……and don’t recognise British humour when you read it……..have a great holiday!!
